Huntingdon Huntingdon believes that the main source of conflict in the future will be cultural. The idea is based on the concept that in the future the main clashes will not be between political actors in the form of nation states, but between civilisations. This would include the potential clashes between the Muslim and the Christian world as wars and conflict are more likely to be based on cultural values rather than ideology and economic necessity.
