the researcher needs to know and understand: some of these words are: * Experimentation is research that allows the investigators to isolate one variable at a time while the other
variables are kept constant. This tests a hypothesis that involves cause and effect. * Variable is any criterion or factor that can be expressed numerically, it is a property that
can take on different values * Dependent or criterion variable is a variable that can be explained or predicted since it is the effect of the independent variable. This is
the variable that is expected to change as a result of manipulating of the independent variable * Independent variable, which is sometimes called the predictor variable, is a variable
that is thought to be independent of the outcome itself but instead influences other variables; the variable that is manipulated in experimental research. * Reliability refers to the extent to
which results are consistent over time thus, it is an accurate representation of the total population under study. Validity refers to the ability of the research to measure what it
purports to measure, in other words, it refers to the truthfulness of the research (Joppe, 2011). These terms are critical to understand in quantitative research. Creswell (2009) explains
that there is a great deal of literature searching in quantitative research. This is provided towards the beginning of the study and leads naturally to the hypothesis. This information will
be included at the end of this study, as well, to demonstrate how the studys conclusions compare to prior studies. Supply chains are critical for all organizations. Organizations rely
on their supply chains to deliver products on time as well as to deliver sustainability. Storer and Hyland (2011) assert that little empirical research has been conducted on supply chains
