less of a cost than Ajax would pay to pull them from the ground. Adding to this problem was that Ajax had a somewhat shaky history as it pertained to
labor-management relationships. Calling the relationship mistrustful on both sides was somewhat downplaying the suspicion and anger that labor harbored for management. To its
credit, however, the current leadership at Ajax Minerals was well aware of labors suspicions and mistrust and decided to change things around by establishing interactive sessions involving both managers and
supervisors. Comment on the Ajax managers approach to the situation that they faced. Do you think that it will work long term? Managements
approach to the situation is what one would describe as "textbook perfect." In other words, they took the steps that many change management gurus suggest when it comes with dealing
