and versatile language that is often undervalued by those unfamiliar with its capabilities. Python is a language designed to allow rapid development
in the leaning and use by the programmer, it is therefore a good first language for a pupil to learn (Walsh, 1998, Rossom, 1999). Moreover, as it is not designed
specifically for beginners it does not have the limitation disadvantages and is also seen being used by many professional programmers. Python is an "interpreted, object-oriented, high-level programming language with dynamic
semantics" (Rossom, 1999). The use of the programme is ideal for scripting or as a glue language that will hold together different,
already existing elements together (Rossom, 1999). Rapid Application Development due to the way the high level data structures as well as the dynamic typing and dynamic binding all combined in
a single programme (Walsh, 1998, Rossom, 1999). The language is easy to learn due to the high level of readability in the syntax
used; this decreases the costs of the learning process as well as the programme maintenance processes. The language supports modular use, so that the reuse of coding is encouraged (Rossom,
1999). This also facilitates increased productivity. The programme also has the advantage of not having the complex compilation stage, avoiding the time
