and why they are vital, and what a companys perspective on them may be. Why These Traits Matter These qualities are important because they enable individuals to become
"significant"-important parts of the company for which they work. Although the founder and /or CEO is usually considered the most significant person in any company, significance doesnt necessarily stop
at the executive suite (The significant individual). "How do people become significant? They become significant when they decide to fully develop their capacities and improve their personalities as
much as they possibly can. They become significant to the company when they grow" (The significant individual). But there is a corollary here: a significant person is
not one who enjoys his work, has a good relationship with the boss and is developing his career, although all these are important (The significant individual). "A significant person
is one the company needs for its work, not one who needs the company for his or her living" (The significant individual). In general, people like this eat, sleep
and breathe the company; they are "workaholics" and achievers who are concerned more with the company and its progress than they are with their own lives (The significant individual).
