action or inaction representatives take on a particular stance or issue. This can range anywhere from funding to a local project or establishing a new that prohibits or prevents the
general public from partaking in particular activities. Often times, public policy is exemplified in laws through legislative acts, judicial decisions and charters and constitutions. It should be noted that pubic
policy does not only refer to laws and policies, it also encompasses the analysis and decision-making process government entities have to go through to determine whether to implement a policy
or not. In addition, this process can vary greatly depending on the government entity in question. For example, the process for implementing public policy on the municipal level is extremely
different than the process on the federal level. Implementation of these policies is handled differently as well. Public policy is also strongly considered an academic discipline as the very concept
of public policy is studied in todays colleges and universities. Students even have the opportunity to earn their masters degree in Public Administration, which deals specifically with how public policies
are evaluated, adopted and implemented. It also addresses various studies such as sociology, economics, policy analysis and public management and operation. In addition, as with any government agency, politics inevitably
