it is expected that her family will love and support her in all her endeavors. Just because her parents do not understand - or even accept - the manner
by which she leads her life does not give them the right to judge her. This absence of fellowship within the familial structure indicates a family that is not
only dysfunctional and incapable of effectively communicating with one another, but it also demonstrates how the family is situated within the larger social context of intolerance.
