define the experiences of the three individuals, focusing on how these elements direct the protagonist in a direction wherein they rise above their particular struggles in the end.
Protagonists In Mark Twains The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn the reader is introduced to Huck as a young boy who is not happy with his existence, living with two women,
the aunts of Tom Sawyer, who want to civilize Huck. He is pushed into seeking an adventure, an escape, when his father returns to town and Huck fakes his own
death, then escaping along the Mississippi River. He gets together with a runaway slave and encounters many different dangerous adventures along the river. In the end one could perhaps argue
he has not really learned a great deal, except to perhaps further solidify his lack of desire to be civilized. In reading this story it is important to note Twains
words in the beginning which state, "PERSONS attempting to find a motive in this narrative will be prosecuted; persons attempting to find a moral in it will be banished; persons
attempting to find a plot in it will be shot" (Twain). In Austens Emma the story revolves around Emma who is a well taken care of young woman. In
