the end of the paper. In understanding these two citation styles and the appropriate use for the citing of research, it is necessary to view some specific examples.
The MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers (5th Edition, published by the Modern Language Association, 1999), requires that each source in a
paper be listed alphabetically at the end of the research paper, and be noted as the WORKS CITED page. Because of this title, each of the sources listed in
an MLA Works Cited page must be referenced at least once in the text of the paper. In other words, there should be no sources listed in the Works
Cited that are not also included in s in the paper. Both styles and bibliographical information in MLA format vary based on the source type. The
