very personal belief and different people have different reasons for how and why they believe. It is nothing that is scientific, and nothing that can be proven, but something that
one must simply believe or not believe. The following paper examines two presumed proofs of Gods existence and then dismantles those proofs, further illustrating that believing in the existence of
God is a personal belief and has nothing to do with proof. Proof of the Existence of God One of the
strongest arguments, or the most common arguments, for believing in God is to claim that all cultures, all people, since the beginning of time, have and do believe in God.
One author notes, "To state with certainty that there is no God, a person has to ignore the passion of an enormously vast number of people who are convinced that
there is a God" (Adamson, 2008). Of course this individual also notes that just because a lot of people believe in something doesnt make it true. However, "Throughout history, billions
of people in the world have attested to their firm, core convictions about Gods existence -- arrived at from their subjective, personal relationship with God. Millions today could give detailed
account of their experience with God" (Adamson, 2008). Human beings are capable of many things, and capable of believing, as a group,
of many things. For example, today one can look at society and see how many people are convinced of terrorism that will attack the United States again, but this does
not make it true. People are all convinced that they need to see doctors for various problems such as restless leg syndrome or giving their daughters vaccines that "may" prevent
