There is also the element that the further into the future that is projected the greater the degree for error. Projections will be based on the 2000 - 2002 figures
for the profit and loss, but only 2001 - 2002 for the balance sheet due to the figures given in the annual statement. There are many sources of information and
ways of projection, form the use of ratios that appear relatively constant to the use of regression analysis and even estimating by looking at the news. Briggs and Stratton
appear to have a good reputation, however there has been a recent product recall that may increase costs, but this was on a small selling line of fun type domestic
go karts. However, when looking at the longer term picture it appears that 2001 was a very difficult year for the company and that years before this were more successful
and that the 2002 figures appear to indicate a recovery. However, we also have to be prudent as recovery may not return the former successes as quickly as hopped for.
Therefore, the growth of the next five years is based on the percentage growth seen between 2001 and 2002, this is 16.73%. However, this is unlikely, and after this next
