"initiation, planning, execution and closure" (Chapman, 2005). Other terms for these same phases might be: Initiate, plan it, do it, and close down (Oxford Brookes University, 2006). The initiation phase
is for the purpose of assessing the investment that must be made in the project; it includes the purpose of the project, the costs, the objective, the outcomes and the
benefits of the project (Oxford Brookes University, 2006). The planning phase is about what will be delivered by the project and identifies who, when, how, and cost (Oxford Brookes University,
2006). Planning includes the activities that will need to be accomplished, the resources that will be needed to complete the project, the sequential steps in the project process, the budget
and assessing the risk associated leading to a plan to reduce risk and how to manage risk (Oxford Brookes University, 2006). The execution, or do it phase is what it
sounds like. This is the actual work related to the project (Oxford Brookes University, 2006). This phase involves the actual work on the project, monitoring the progress of the project
and reporting that progress to the appropriate persons (Oxford Brookes University, 2006). It is also during this phase project teams will encounter unexpected obstacles, which they must overcome so that
the project can be completed (Oxford Brookes University, 2006). As each step in the executive is completed the project team will assess the degree to which the results or outcomes
