In order to consider the way implementation takes place there is a five stage model. The first stage and possible the most important, is where the project requirements are
identified and the delivered required are identified, this will guide the rest of the project. The second phase sees the system designed and configured to meet the needs and it
is the third stage that sees it delivered. Prior to the system going live it needs to be deployed, this should involve pilot testing in a single locations to assess
performance and allow for any bugs to be identified, and rectified or eliminated before total roll out, it is only after this stage that the system can go live and
is accepted. Slide 2 For the program to be implemented it is necessary to consider the practical aspects of implementation so
that the system is accepted and used there are several issues that need to be considered. The first practical issue is the change that the new system is creating, as
such as change management approach can be beneficial. Where there is any change there is likely to be resistance due to fear of change and uncertainty, which needs to be
overcome. This can only occur if they understand and accept the need for the change. Most change models involve winning over those who will be impacted prior to the change
take place, so that when the change takes place the resistance is absent, or at least minimised and the employees will support the change. The latter is important as this
