something that they themselves are not doing" (Suggestions for parenting at-risk youth, 2004). Or conversely, to forbid their teenager from doing something they indulge in; there are cases of parents
smoking marijuana and then telling their children not to do the same (Suggestions for parenting at-risk youth, 2004). Clearly, if parents want their teenagers to behave in ways they approve,
they have to set the example first. Parents also must establish "a clear set of rules" so that everyone in the family knows what is expected of them (Suggestions for
parenting at-risk youth, 2004). Children and teens who dont know whats expected of them have little or no chance of living up to expectations; they will almost always be in

today, and most say "pressure usually is the reason for their usage" (Teenage drug abuse, 2004). If members of a teens social circle use drugs, there will be pressure on
