reason, organizations have begun to explore exactly how the role of a leader can best be leveraged to bring fundamental and lasting value to an organization. This paragraph helps
the student begin to explore the idea of transformational leadership. One of the most fascinating concepts of leadership to emerge out of the recent focus on leadership is that of
"transformational leadership". The transformation leader eschews the typical authoritarian style of leadership, wherein a leader might micro-manage every aspect of an organization down to the particular processes that workers use
to complete projects, in favor of a principle-driven mode of leadership that focuses on developing a strong organizational culture which, stemming from the organizations core values and ultimate mission, permeate
all organizational followers with a strong sense of what it means to be part of the organization, and what they should be pursuing at any given time. Naturally, such an
approach to leadership places a great deal of autonomy on followers. As an example, a traditional leader might handle a project by selecting workers to form a team, choosing a
