debated questions of our time. From a number of perspectives globalization has primarily a negative impact. It is not a valid approach, however, to categorize all of
the impacts of globalization as negative. We should, in fact, follow the advice of Moore (2003) who contends that:
"Globalization should not be idealized or demonized" Globalization is
a postmodern phenomena. The term postmodern in itself, however, encapsulates a number of aspects of our modern society. Mankind has the need to put labels on practically everything
that affects life. Postmodernity is the label which has been placed on what is believed by some to be the new historical epoch (Wood, 1996). Although other labels
have been applied to this period in our history, postmodernism is the one which is used to describe the cultural changes which our society has experienced. Changes have occurred
in practically every aspect of our lives. Our religions have become marginalized and even our basic concepts of what is right and wrong become warped (McDermott, 1998; Beaman, 1998).
Each of these changes can, to a degree at least, be associated with globalization. Some contend that the changes noted
above can be either directly or indirectly due to the numerous changes in technology. Technology, in fact, can be said to be one of the primary factors in practically
