associated with comorbid mental and substance-related problems, and capable of disabling those who have it (ADAA, 1999). The conditions classified as anxiety disorders include panic disorder, phobias, post-traumatic stress
disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. There are basically two types of depression: situational depression such as that which occurs at a death of a loved one, a break-up
of a relationship or associated with hormonal changes and chronic depression which can be debilitating and, or life threatening (Kowalski, 1999). The depression associated with PTSD is generally considered
to be situational, although no less threatening and, or important as a component of the individuals understanding of the trauma. The most common type of PTSD seen as a
depression disorder is the post partum depression that often results after a woman has given birth. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder PTSD, according to the DSM-IV, is characterized
