This paper suggests what the student might say if he were in the Presidents place, faced with this question. He writes as if he were the President, who in addition
to being an extremely powerful man, has what is very likely the worlds worst job. Were going to make him a Republican and use what we know of that partys
thinking to put words in his mouth. Statement As a Republican I strongly believe in traditional, conservative values-the values that made this country great. I am not blind to the
problems of the poor and minorities-indeed I remain very concerned-but I have a background in business that tells me the best way we can help our fellow citizens is to
create a strong economic climate in which companies can create new jobs. We may have to accept some sacrifices in the short term, such as outsourcing more work and refusing
union organizing attempts, but only temporarily. Once the economy is moving again as it should be, we can certainly revisit the issue of organized labor, as well as whether or
not we should bring our jobs back onshore. I also believe that America is a Christian country, and that life is sacred. As such, I am pledged to working
with church leaders to encourage them to help the poor and disadvantaged in their communities, and to end abortion. I am deeply sympathetic to any woman who finds herself in
the position of having to consider such a procedure, but that does not change the fact that she is considering ending an innocent life. Finally, I am committed to
the security of this nation. I believe it has been amply demonstrated that there are those in this world who actively seek to do us harm, and that we cannot
