or video game will insert the word "toy" into the search engine and inadvertently pull up adult sex toy sites. Whether or not they understand the location to which
they have arrived is not the issue; rather, the fact that there are no differentiating criteria to prevent the cross-reference in the first place is what needs to be focused
upon in a legal manner. Given a childs inherent curiosity, there would not be too many who would overlook the opportunity to click on a link or two to
appease their fascination (Welch 64). While it is true that quantitative research does not exist other than criminal reports that demonstrates the negative
effects pornography has upon children, there are myriad statistics that show how adults suffer from its adverse impression. One would have to wonder why such findings cannot also be
pertinent to children, who are even more impressionable and na?ve than their older counterparts. It cannot be argued that children are not old enough to discern between acceptable and
deviant behavior. A child of five who is watching a woman have sex with a dog would not understand that to be a highly inappropriate social activity; the next
thing she may do is approach her own family pet in the same manner. Imprinting such impressions upon the brain of children not yet old enough to even grasp
