all Americans, and the impact of female American upon wages, health care, education, abortion and other such issues cannot be underestimated. As
the current President and Republican candidate for president, Bush has very specific ideas about womens issues (Grunwald, 2004). However, Bush has been less enthusiastic about embracing the issues that
affect women than Kerry has, although many contend that this is offset by Bushs dedication to getting done those ideas he does propose as opposed to concern over whether or
not Kerry is "all talk" or not. In terms of healthcare options, President Bush has proposed and implemented many new programs
that will specifically aid women (President Bushs Agenda for Improving Health Care, 2004). For instance, he has instituted health savings accounts which provides those with large deductibles the means
to offset those costs through tax-exempt savings that can then be used by the individual to pay toward their health-care costs (President Bushs Agenda for Improving Health Care, 2004).
This aids women because many do not have the means to carry their own health insurance nor do they have the ability to obtain employment that offers health-care benefits (President
Bushs Agenda for Improving Health Care, 2004). Often, this is especially true for single mothers who are trying to take care of their families while working (President Bushs Agenda
