care industry is in a state of crisis and if some serious reform is not implemented to correct the systems deficiencies for this countrys elderly population, this perpetual problem and
the programs that support these individuals will only get worse. Experts have warned that the United States and the rest of the globe for that matter faces a massive health
care shortage that threatens to leave millions of seniors without proper health care within the next three decades. Since the 1970s, presidents have run on a platform of reforming health
care in the United States. While many have purported promising proposals, very few have been able to implement practical solutions to rectify these problems. The list of challenges is nearly
endless, but the issues that the government is facing are: medical costs are too high; health insurance is extremely costly and inaccessible to the people who need it most, and
the population of uninsured is at alarming levels. All of these effect issues effect programs like Medicaid, Medicare, Welfare, Disability and Social Security. It is evident that doctors, attorneys, and
insurance and pharmaceutical companies make a lot of money. And that money naturally equates to power and these individuals and corporations use that power to influence governmental policy in regards
