greater opportunity to gain insight into their subject. In this paper we will look at the data gather from two online interviews
from policies officers to look at the data as well as surmise and compare the data. There are two respondents, both are in law enforcement. Respondent 1 (R1) is
a Caucasian male aged 30, who is an officer in a municipal authority who has ten years experience in the job and has an associate degree. Respondent 2 (R2) is
a Caucasian male aged 54 with the rank of capital working in law enforcement at county level, he has been in the job for 29 and has a master degree.
The first question asks why the respondents choose to become police officers, and if the job has been what they expected. Here
there were some commonalities between the interviewees, both had the desire to help people, however this is phased differently, but there is a similar motivation. R1 says he wanted
to be hero, for R2 it was a desire to help society in very fundamental way, helping those who are vulnerable. Both
have altruistic content, and both also hint at the desire for job satisfaction, R1 with the idea of status and R2 with the satisfaction of being able to help and
