stage. Indeed, idols throughout the years have been imitated not only as it respects their clothing, but their bodies as well. There are people who actually try to become
the stars that they idolize. Some women make attempts to look like Barbie dolls and when diet and exercise does not work, they resort to plastic surgery. Plastic surgery for
the body and face is not just a fashion fad. It is something that has been around for some time. While in the past, it was something hidden, it is
now flaunted today. At least, people are no longer embarrassed by their surgical changes and usually admit to having gone under the knife. What are the political and social implications
of plastic surgery? Political implications may go to the fact that poorer people do not have access to plastic surgery. Most insurance plans will not cover elective surgery, and so,
those on the lower end of the economic spectrum cannot get a tummy tuck after their fifth child, for example. Generally, plastic surgery is confined to an elite group, but
has been embraced by lower classes in recent times. The lower and middle classes do have access to such offerings through loans as well as through popularized television shows that
