through some hard times in its nine years of existence, rocketing to a gratifying high only to plummet to a corresponding low point that had the potential of threatening the
companys continued existence. It has since recuperated and is quite healthy again. It is approaching its 10th anniversary and the CEO wants to provide the employees with a
celebration that they will remember, while also shaking off the last vestiges of the past. It is not approaching the planning stage well, however, and so far has only
a false start. Kerzner Though the goal is to plan and produce a party with a $150,000 budget, the issues before Kerzner include
team building, corporate culture and project management. The companys response was that senior management charged a human resource specialist, Amber Briggs, with experience in team building with the task
of forming a project team. The outcome has not yet occurred but it is quite easy to predict. Amber has not been
able to choose her team members. Rather, senior management has instructed each department of the company to assign a representative to the task force. There is no consideration
for individuals backgrounds, abilities or even commitment to the company. At present there has been one meeting of most of the group assigned to the task. Two failed
