In this paper we will look at developing a football program for an existing team where there is limited capital and resources. The programme need to take place over three
stages, the pre season, the regular season and the post season. 1. Work breakdown schedule The fist task is to breakdown the tasks and create a work breakdown schedule. This
breaks down the project being considered into smaller task, each of which may also be made up of smaller tasks. Therefore one large project becomes several smaller projects. Each are
need to be linked to different functions, and although the coach may be involved in all areas there may also be different volunteers or personal involved in the various sub
sections. A small WBS may look like this, however, these should be laid out in a single sheet with the heading boxes in a single row.
Here we have five main project areas. The functions are al separate even though there are similar function in each section. We have assumed that
the weight training is used in the pre seasons only and that the fund raising is a separate project which is ongoing. This is taken to two levels only, each
of the identified project seasons can then be broken down further. The fund raising is a particular task, however, a series of separate events may be undertaken. The booster
club is one source of income, and this in itself is a small project. There have also been other projects such as selling candies and car washing. Each of these
