partner in his ministry. Content Summary The stated intention for this text is that it will help families discovered "Gods purpose" for their family.1 To accomplish this goal,
the authors describe how to establish a "family mission statement," as well as describe how to "establish core values" and "make time for quality and quantity family time" that is
"centered around Gods purposes."2 The first chapter, "Healthy Families," describes, first of all, how difficult it is in todays hurried world for families to have time together. The authors offer
numerous definitions that describe the characteristics of healthy families and relate these features to principles that denote growth in ones relationship with Christ, and this chapter also emphasizes raising children
to worship God, i.e., following the dictum given in Proverbs 22:6. Each chapter ends with a simple test, which, by answering it, helps the reader to review the chapters main
points. The second chapter concerns creating a family mission statement and the role that this mission statement should have in shaping and influencing the behaviors of both parents and
