known work is called A Choice Not An Echo (2000). Schlafly has been a leader in the pro-family movement since the 1970s, which was a time when she began her
national volunteer organization called Eagle Forum (2000). Mrs. Schlafly led the pro-family movement to victory over some principal legislative goals of the radical feminists, or the Equal Rights Amendment
(2000). Her life has been one of public service and political intervention. She has been an articulate opponent to radical feminism and she has appeared in debates on college
campuses ("Phyllis," 2000). One milestone was that she was named, by Ladies Home Journal, to be one of the 100 most important women of the twentieth century (2000).
Her newsletter, appropriately entitled "The Phyllis Schlafly Report" has been distributed for more than thirty years; she also has a syndicated column which may be found in 100 newspapers
(2000). Another interest concerns more vocal pursuits as she is also a radio commentator (2000). Mrs. Schlafly has either written or edited sixteen books related to issues related to
feminism and family ("Phyllis," 2000). While Schlafly has accomplished a great deal in terms of her personal and professional life, one thing is clear. She has been a significant
role model for women. While feminists spout rhetoric to the effect that a woman must do such and such and should not do such and such, Schlafly has done it
all. While she is opposed to feminism, she is not opposed to a woman having a career. However, she has "done it all" in steps. Rather than getting married, going
