Terence Terences play was written in 161 B.C. and is from the ancient days of Rome. And, it was produced at the Roman games (Beck). It is essentially based on
another story, an original Greek story that was written by Apollodorus of Carystus (Malty). Terence did not actually produce many plays, and his career was actually quite short, but his
