has been no lack of effort on the part of both sides to bring about at least some semblance of an alliance between two otherwise very diverse entities, however, these
efforts have ultimately been met with mutual and unresolved intolerance. Science is the antithesis of philosophy; when great thinkers espouse a certain belief,
scientists challenge that idea to be true and/or provable. The problem with philosophy, however, is how it is not a verifiable discipline like its scientific counterparts but rather is
the process of thought and debate through perception. Philosophical contemplation is grounded within a combination of truth and wisdom and as such is not a tangible commodity whereby an
accusatory finger can be pointed at the otherwise elusive nature of human senses. Tangible components, when under the doubting eye of science, enable one to see the unlettered magnitude
of mankinds decision to assume the position of common sense and become ruled by natures regiment. As such, familiarity does not lend itself to unaccountability or being troublesome to
understand (Harris, 2004). Why, then, would this be drawn into question when such does not require evidence to support the senses, nor is
there any fear of ever becoming skeptics? As soon as the attempt is made to apply human reason, however, is when they experience a departure from those things that
