there are many insights a student might have. Perhaps he or she might encourage a friend to travel before they settle down. Once children, dogs and mortgage bills arrive, there
may not be the time, the money or the inclination to go. Many things can enter into the picture. For example, although Michael claims that he does not want to
travel abroad because he is afraid of terrorism, as he is an American, he can be persuaded to go for a variety of reasons. Michael does not want to travel
abroad, but it seems as if his reasons for not wanting to travel are not valid. He claims that he does not want to go at the present time
due to terrorism, but he should not believe that travel is dangerous because air travel is safer than ever before. Before September 11th , people were in danger. Of course,
this is only known in retrospect. Today, airlines and airports are extremely aware of anything out of the ordinary. Michaels reasoning is not valid, despite the fact that there are
many others like him. A friend who wants to persuade Michael to go would tell him that he is being unreasonable and that air travel is safer than ever. He
might be persuaded to go also based on a particular airlines safety record or the precautions it plans to take. Michael has always wanted to go to France. He
