The following paper examines perspectives concerning cultural diversity in the United States. Perspectives Concerning Diverse Cultures in the United States When looking at cultural diversity in the nation
it is quite apparent that there are many sides to the existence of so many cultures. Granted there are predominant cultures, perhaps white, African American and Latino, but there are
also many pockets around the nation that possess so many more cultures such as Arabs or Chinese cultures. And, just as there are many different pockets there are many positions
on the reality of living with so many cultures. Three positions involve those who are happy with cultural diversity and do whatever they can to live harmoniously with all cultures.
There are those who feel that diversity of cultures is a very detrimental condition for the nation. And, a more specific perspective, is one that addresses how professionals, doctors specifically,
are intricately connected to cultural diversity and the need to accept such diversity. There are clearly far more diverse and complex perspectives than these but in this short a space
these are perhaps the three most predominant and noticeable perspectives that exist in the United States concerning cultural diversity. As it pertains to the first perspective, wherein people want
to live harmoniously with other cultures, and wherein people feel that it is a rich culture that offers so much diversity, One author indicates as much when stating the following:
