plan should be based on specific goals and the identification of areas where plausible changes can be made. Though no immediate problems may exist in regards to health (e.g.
diabetes, hypertension, or other chronic health conditions), the presence of excess weight and a high Body Mass Index (BMI) score can suggest the benefits of dietary changes and increased exercise
that can help reduce weight and improve cardiovascular function to prevent illness. Brief Description of the Issue Though Im in relatively good health and do not have
any major underlying health conditions, my current weight (195) and height (57") place me at a body mass index of 30.5, within the range identified as "obese." My current BMI
has not played a significant role in deterring me from desired activities or participation activities of daily living, but it does introduce concerns about my long-term health, long-term cardiovascular function,
and potential health threats (including Type II diabetes) which correspond with obesity over the lifespan. At the age of 35, I believe that I have the capacity to change
behaviors and eating habits in order to reduce my BMI and improve my long-term health. The basic for this nutrition and exercise plan and my perspective on
