and pure. They are precious gifts who should be nurtured and cherished. They enrich our lives through their curiosity, their eagerness to try new things, and their lack of abandon
in play. They love without condition. Children bring joy to our lives. Teachers have a remarkable opportunity to help develop and shape childrens minds. When a child has trouble understanding
a concept, there is nothing as rewarding as seeing the expression when they finally get it. Jesus told us how important children are when He told His Apostles
to let the children through. We remember that Christ was teaching the people and parents wanted Jesus to touch their children. These parents knew how important it was for their
children to know Christ personally. The disciples tried to hold the children back because Christ was so busy and perhaps because they thought children were not as important as their
parents. Jesus, however, admonished them and told His disciples to let the children come close. Jesus loved the children, He took them in His arms and prayed for them. When
I become tired and even weary and find myself about to become irritable with children, I always remember what Jesus said - let the children come to me. Each
day, children come to our classrooms. Some are more ready to learn than others, some are more excited about learning than others but they all want to feel good about
themselves. They want adults around them to respect them and to care about them. As teachers, we can be that one adult who is always accepting, always caring no matter
what. This does not mean that we allow children of any age be disrespectful to us or their peers, it does mean that we try to understand what is happening
