the tables on a chair. No one in the group had met any other member of the group prior to this moment. The leader stated his name, Peter, and asked
the group to talk with the person sitting on one side or the other and share something about yourself. My immediate thought was "oh crap! Been there, done that and
not doing it today" I graciously asked the man to my left what his name was, Steve, and where was he from. He responded and asked for my name and
where I was from. I replied. I then asked Steve what he would like to share with the rest of the group since we were going to be introducing each
other, like what was his job and what did he like to do when he wasnt working. We talked about his responses. The leader gave us a one-minute alert so
Steve asked me what I would like to share with the group, I said, nothing. He looked at me questioningly and I volunteered that I had been in scads and
scads of groups and I did not know at this early point how much of my personal self I wanted to share. Steve introduced me by repeating my entire response.
The leader and locked eyes, he grinned and said, okay, thats fine! Most of the other people seemed a bit stunned. As the introductions were made, I learned that not
only was I one of only four women in the group, as I initially saw, I was also the only woman who held a higher level management position and my
