Current Situation I am a 22 year over seas student studying at the University of New South Wales, working towards a bachelors degree in Digital Media. I am currently in my second year of a three year course full time course. I have accommodation with easy reach of university and share with two flatmates with a rent of $200 a week that makes life and budgeting easier as it is inclusive of utilities and telephone. My main source of income is my parents, who provide an income of roughly $60,000 a year while I am university, which is designed to pay my tuition fees and my living expenses. My parents believe that I should make the most of my opportunities at university and want me to study without distractions. As the course progresses and the workload increases this takes up more time and makes the taking on a part time job more difficult. At the current time I do not have plans to start working while at university so I can concentrate on my studies. I agree with my parents and feel strongly that the extra time and effort invested in my education is likely to show in better results which will aid my post graduation options and improve my career prospects when my course finishes at the end of the 2011 academic year.
