Understanding the reasons for these changes is paramount to realizing which approaches need to be taken in order to 1) provide employees with a smooth transition and 2) ensure such changes are actually beneficial to the company as a whole. The metrics that could be used to measure organizational performance for each case revolve around the issues of improving performance, efficacy, aptitude and internal controls. For example, Poole (1998) notes how one of the primary keys to the success of any organizational culture - and, thereby, each cases ability to move progressively forward with organizational change - is the far-reaching vision it maintains even in the most difficult of times. An organizational diagnosis can easily determine if ones focus is not upon the intended outcome as the direct result of poor vision.
