For someone who is a property manager people skills are crucial to success for a property manager must deal with numerous people and numerous situations on an ongoing basis. The
following paper examines the importance of people skills for a property manager. People Skills: Property Manager While most people know that people skills are important in all aspects
of life, in certain professions, such as a property manager where the individual deals with different people and different situations all the time, people skills become crucial to success. In
first understanding the complexity of the job of a property manager, and then examining how people skills fit into this profession, the paper first discusses the unique situations and the
job description of the property manager. One individual, a property manager, states that while he never envisioned this would be his profession he loves it, stating, "No two days
are the same, and no job description can fully explain what the day-to-day operations and duties of a property manager are going to be" (Krumrie, 2006). Another individual, also a
property manager, states the following: "[Y]ou have to be a marketing person and promote and sell the building...You have to work with outside vendors -- contracting plumbers, cleaning services, security
guards, lawn-care and landscape professionals, construction companies -- getting bids, negotiating the best deals" (Krumrie, 2006). This particular property manager also indicates that the individual will be involved in a
