situated in New York, this is one of those buildings. The current Penn station was not the original Penn station. The original was in place between 1910 and 196 (Adam,
1990). This station was commissioned to be built by the president of the by Pennsylvania Railroad; Alexander Cassatt, and was designed by McKim, Mead and White (Blom, 1993). The
age was one of grandeur, the new century had been established, and new technology was seen as making many things possible. Trains were increasingly important, they were making travel simpler,
and were increasingly popular as a method of transportation across long distances. We may argue that as the nineteenth century had been the age of the train, this was still
the attitude of society. As a result, when we consider this monumental trains station, which was the largest train station ever to
be built, it may also be seen as a place of worship of the new and faster forms of transportation that made the worlds appear modern. The building took
