conditions at a young age. Additionally, while overweight, many are nutritionally deprived. This is a situation that concerns nursing greatly as the incidence of overweight/obesity in pediatric populations is
escalating rapidly. However, as the multi-billion dollar diet industry suggests, addressing problems associated with weight reduction is not a simple task. Therefore, some pertinent questions are: 1. What does
research show as the most effective interventions for addressing pediatric weight control? 2. What role does physical activity play in accessing pediatric patients for this problem? 3. How can
