Pedagogy of the Oppressed introduces an unconventional relationship that should be had between the teacher and student to enhance the overall learning and human experience. The reason why it is
unconventional is because Freire applies Marxist principles to his work by introducing the colonizer and the colonized as well as the oppressor and the oppressed. Friere contends throughout this influential
work that true liberation can only take place once all parties have been freed. Therefore, one gets the clear impression that those who will not be liberated by participating in
a new and revolutionary way must be eliminated from the equation. Freire calls this freedom or liberation "praxis." In chapters 2-4 of his book, Freire examines different approaches to education.
This essay will further examine those arguments while depicting the true meaning of what Freire was trying to say. Throughout his work, Freire is basically trying to spice
things up. He says, "Education is suffering from narration sickness" (Freire, p. 71). In other words, teachers (no matter what subject they are teaching) are basically sticking to the book
and most of them fail to give the content any substance. Freire wants the educator to bring the subject to life by making it meaningful for the student. In Chapter
