however, he became dismayed with their ways and their practice of Christianity, and therefore wrote them a series of letters which spell out his admonishments. While both Paul and
the Corinthians revered the same basic Christian foundation, Paul believed that the Corinthians were moving too far away from the core concepts of Christianity and felt a huge personal responsibility
to correct this situation. The Apostle Paul had close ties to the Corinthian Church, and had, in fact, lived and
preached among the Corinthians for a period of about 18 months (Pauls First Letter to the Corinthians, 2003). He believed himself to be an apostle of Jesus though the
will of God, and that same will inspired him to establish a church in Corinth (Pauls First Letter to the Corinthians, 2003). It is important to understand how this
will of God manifested in Paul, because it was the impetus for all of his actions (Pauls First Letter to the Corinthians, 2003). Furthermore, the will of God was
the genesis, according to Paul, of Pauls ability to "see" the problems of the Corinthian Church - problems which Paul argued quite vocally (Pauls First Letter to the Corinthians, 2003).
Paul wrote several letters to the Corinthians, addressing his concerns (Pauls First Letter to the Corinthians, 2003). First, he
