Parkinsons disease takes a tremendous toll on people around the world. The online film "My Father, My Brother,
and Me" examines this disease not just from a clinical perspective but also from a personal perspective. According to the film, over one-million Americans alone are afflicted
with Parkinsons yet many are not even certain what the disease is. A likely explanation for our relative ignorance is that only one to two percent of our
population is affected. The horrid impacts of Parkinsons disease were only recently brought into the awareness of a broad spectrum of
the American public when it was announced that Michael J. Fox had been diagnosed with the disease. Most often, of course, the victims of this disease arent well known
actors. Nor are they widely published authors like Michael Kinsley, syndicated columnists like Charles Krauthammer, or journalists like Dave Iverson, all of whom have also been inflicted by this
condition. These men are all worth mentioning, however, because they have taken it upon themselves to publicize the disease and to do what they can to expedite a cure.
Iverson, in fact, produced "My Father, My Brother, and Me" with that precise purpose in mind. This film goes a long ways
