to nearly everyone. THE BASICS In todays world of food and wine pairing, you will most likely receive suggestions, rather than hard and fast rules. People should not
be afraid to experiment and to express their own personality when they are pairing food and wine. To help to determine your own individual preference, it is a good idea
to try to visit various vineyards and take the time to participate in the wine tastings. This is a great way to try different wine and learn which ones
you prefer. Following that, try pairing some of the wines that you favor with foods that you like. If you like the combination of the food and
the wine that you have chosen, then you have made a good choice. You may want to consider some of the rules-of-thumb, but remember that the rules are not always
meant to be followed. Sometimes the rules-of-thumb are mere guidelines to get you started on your path. Choosing something outside of the rules in an attempt to achieve a
particular effect, or just because previously you found that it went well together, is an indication of good taste. Before you decide to go outside of the guidelines, it
