course, things are different. Because the structure of business has changed (thanks to downsizing, rightsizing and other changes that have impacted the workforce) employees are not necessarily so loyal any
more. Not that theyre to be blamed for this, but there tends to be competition for the best and brightest. The best and brightest will jump ship if they receive
what they perceive is a better offer. Because of this, companies have been starting to put together strategic plans to recruit and retain quality employees.
This is something we need to seriously consider as well. If we hope to compete on a global scale, we need to have the best and brightest working
for us. But these type of plan involves more than simply getting bodies into the door and putting them to work. We want to keep them here, and working for
us. Problem Statement The name of this section would be more aptly entitled "problem statements," as there are several issues we need to
address here. First is that of hiring. We need to find a way to ensure that our recruiting strategies ensure we have the right employee for the right job. There
is nothing worse than hiring a person, going through the effort of training him, and then having him up and leave within a year because he cant fit into the
