does? Well, actually, his twin sister does, which makes David more miserable. In order to escape from his lifes problems, he immerses himself in reruns of an old classic television
show called Pleasantville. In Pleasantville there is no such thing as confrontation. Everyone is polite and nice; everyones life is a happily ever after kind of life. David finds
himself wishing that he lived in Pleasantville instead of in his own circumstances. In a bizarre "A Wonderful Life" kind of twist, a magical remote control zaps both he and
his prom queen twin sister into Pleasantville. Immediately, both he and his sisters become one of the Parker family members featured on Pleasantville. Even their names have been changed. David
is now called Bud, while his sisters name becomes Mary Sue. Weirder still...everything has now gone to black and white. At first, of course, David thinks this is, well, just
swell. Then, he starts to notice that the books dont have words, the basketball team always wins their games, and no one questions why things are so perfect. His sister,
Jennifer, however, is not impressed with the twist of fate and employing her shocking nineties attitudes begins to stir things up in Pleasantville. Slowly, color begins to creep into the
