student has experienced or how those experiences will help/hinder his career or life lessons. As a result, the following is a model paper that can serve as a launching pad
for the student. Though some general college-oriented examples will be provided throughout this paper, its suggested that the student take this one step further and integrate some of his own
experiences in the mix. Overview When I first entered college four years ago, I had a vague plan about what I wanted
to be when I grew up. I knew I was a decent basketball player and had a scholarship (and okay, despite everything, I was imaging myself possibly being selected by
the NBA in the first round). I also knew I liked to fool around with numbers - Id taken high school accounting and really enjoyed it. So when I was
asked to declare a major during my freshman year, I said business. But I really had my eye on becoming that NBA star, at least until the college basketball coach
