the student is a Muslim living in Europe, the sources chosen dealt with Islam in Europe. From that, well draw up a sample of how the student can write up
this type of paper. Ever since September 11, 2001, when it was learned that 19 followers of Islam hijacked planes and flew
them into the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington, DC, one of the many questions that have emerged involves whether Islam, the religion followed
by the Muslim communities, and which is primarily of Eastern origin, is compatible with the beliefs of the West. This has especially been of concern in Western Europe. According to
Bison et al, the question has been intensely debated among political and intellectual circles, particularly as it pertains to recent immigrants, and how quickly theyre being integrated (or not) into
European cultural values. The authors point out examples, such as the riots in Paris, the reaction to the Mohammed vignettes and terrorist attacks in Madrid and London (Bison et al,
2007). On the opposite side, the authors point out that there is much resentment toward Muslims (Bison et al, 2007). The authors
researched literature and studies dealing with Muslims in the United Kingdom, and learned some interesting facts. First, Muslims tend to be characterized through their religious identity, with the majority of
