eye of his father, who didnt approve of his hobby. However, Pablo Neruda (this is not his real name, but an assumed one) would go on to lead a double
life which afforded him the chance to travel and to be the poet he was. Many state that he has been one of the largest Latino poets of his
time. The student could state that a part of Nerudas exciting life involved his activity in World War II, where he was able to help many flee Hitlers oppression in
Europe and find refuge in his country of Chile(Pablo Neruda, 2002). As a result a good deal of Nerudas work reflects his sympathy for the people who attempted to fight
Hitler and the other dictators of the time, and failed. He would remain involved in one way or another in politics until his death. He is known to have
written many odes. Interestingly enough, though he definitely lived well past the times of the well known Romantic Poets, a good deal of his poetry resembles the tone and intensity
of earlier poets such as Wordsworth, or Blake. His attention to the details of nature and then directly applying their insight into the depths of mankind make him a voice
from a different era. Considering that he saw some of mans worst atrocities to his fellow man, it is no wonder that his poetry reflects a different age. And,
yet again, having seen such atrocities, one is amazed that he can write about anything beautiful and loving at all. Yet, he does. If one cares to look close
enough, the student will be able to see that Nerudas poetry not only contains allusions to nature, but also to the inner nature of man and his relationship with that
