of the most important areas of concern today in the field of education is that which involves the students with special needs. With so many children being diagnosed with autism,
for example, special education is getting more and more attention. Within this field of education also lies the subject of inclusion. These are topics of consideration in many articles. The
following paper examines four different articles as they address these educational issues. The paper provides an overview of each article, one from a magazine, one from a newspaper, one from
a website and one from a textbook. Overview of Articles Pertaining to Education The first article to be examined and discussed is from About.com. The article is titled
Inclusion-What is Inclusion? In this article the author examines what inclusion is and begins by illustrating the way education for the disabled used to be. Webster indicates how
prior to a particular law handicapped children were not necessarily privy to an education by law. That law was PL 94-142, the Education of All Handicapped Children Act. Once they
were given education, by law, around the nation it is also noted that their facilities, their classrooms, were not always the best and were often remote, such as next to
the boiler room. Inclusion is a way of ensuring that the handicapped children in the nation are not separated from the rest of the school. One can well assume that
there is a great deal of variation around the nation in relationship to where handicapped children are taught and how they are taught. The idea of inclusion is coming of
age as many believe it is the only way to give handicapped children, and "normal" children, the opportunity to be together and learn from one another socially. Webster (2010) states
