vast subject-so large that it has to be narrowed down before the student attempts to write about it. The alternative to narrowing is to attempt to write about the subject
as a whole, which is likely to result in an incoherent mess of a paper that provides a hazy overview but little solid information. Therefore, well look at the broad
topic of overpopulation and what aspects we might pick to write about. We could consider, among other topics, the political aspects of overpopulation, whether there is an overpopulation crisis or
not, religious aspects of the overpopulation debate, the relationship between population and the depletion of natural resources, proposed solutions to the overpopulation problem, ethnic responses to the question of overpopulation
and so on. The list is long, and all aspects are valid, so the student should choose the one that interests him most; in this case, well look at the
